Return from Youngstown State University

Filed under: Current News — admin @ 1:06 am

Well, I just got back from Youngstown State University where I was in a 3 days residency, performing 4 concerts and meeting with a few composers.
The residency was a complete success.
To begin Professor Rollin, the New Music Society and the Youngstown State University did the best possible public relations ads I have ever seen. Press releases about my residency were featured in 2 newspapers (The Jambar and the Tribune) and on the YSU website. Then the YSU weekly internet tv show filmed some of my performances and is featuring me at the close of their weekly show. Their weekly show can be seen at http://lightthewick.blip.tv/

The faculty and the administration were friendly, helpful and great to work with.
I really enjoyed my time and I hope the New Music Society, Professor Rollin and the YSU school of music were happy about my residency.

In between those recitals I had two rehearsals with the Kansas University Medical Arts Symphony and then concert on November 15th.
The concerto performed was the Schumann.

As you can see,my past week was busy and very exciting.
Both recitals went well and the concerto performance was very good.
I felt at “home” performing those recitals and the concerto.

Looking forward to more upcoming performances
