Avguste Antonov: News

My apologies for not updating the news sooner,but have been really busy.
There are many news for me to write about so here we go:

-I have been hired as a full time piano teacher at the Master's Touch School of Music in Grapevine,Texas.My employment starts August 4th 2008
-November 2008 will see me performing the Schumann Piano Concerto with the Kansas City Medical Arts Symphony.During that same week,I will be performing a private recital at the home of my University of Kansas scholarship donors.
-The collaboration between Raina Murnak(University of Miami-Florida faculty) and myself is being pursued. I am hoping to get excerpts of the piece she is writing for me sometime this summer. The world premiere is to be heard at the University of Miami-Florida.Please check often for more news on this.
-I have began a collaboration with the composer John Arrigo. Performance of two of his pieces is planned for sometime this year in Pittsburgh

Today,I performed the last recital toward the master of music in Piano Performance.
The recital went well.
So now the only thing I have left to do is my orals beginning of the fall

On other notes,I am in recital negotiations with colleges in Alabama.I am hoping to have more news in the next few weeks

Today,I added my recording of the Gershwin Piano Concert to the site.

I just came back from Colorado.I spent about a week at the University of Colorado-Boulder with my friend Carter Pann and I checked out the university piano department for DMA(doctoral degree). I played for Prof. Korevaar and it went great.
I enjoyed my visit and I love the university/Boulder.
Pending my audition,I will probably be attending the University of Colorado Boulder for the DMA,starting next year
